Happy Thanksgiving!!
Happy Thanksgiving my gentlemen! I hope that as I write this, you are enjoying or have just enjoyed a wonderful meal with those that mean the most to you. I have been a bit naughty and broke the rule about not drinking while taking antibiotics. Really I haven't been that bad as it's just been one glass of wine thus far. I had to have a little wine while I cooked as if I didn't, what kind of sicilian would I be? Yep, I made my own turkey dinner this year. I opened a special bottle of wine, pored a glass and cooked while listening to Beethoven. I recently watched the movie "Immortal Beloved" and now his music affects me even more profoundly than it did previously. You know that I don't generally toot my own horn, and maybe this is the wine talking, but boy did my dinner turn out well! My turkey is tender, the stuffing perfectly moist, the green beans were exactly crisp-tender, the sweet potato with cinnamon streusel topping was baked just right, and my homemade cranberry sauce with orange, almond extract, cloves and cinnamon is sooo yummy! In fact, it is taking everything I have to not just put my face in the bowl! I have to keep reminding myself that I have pie for dessert! :) I want to thank those of you who have sent me messages of support and love these last few days. It truly means so very much to me to have you in my life. I know from previous experience that with time, the pain and sadness will gradually lessen. I told myself that I wouldn't get depressed about it today so I'm going to change the topic. :) I'm sitting here writing to you while watching the Godfather Part III. Nothing says Thanksgiving like an italian mob movie! Personally speaking, Part III was my least favorite out of the trilogy but it has some good parts. I love it when Joey ZaZa gets taken out! Does knowing that I love mob movies lessen my appeal to you? Hee-hee, I go from listening to Beethoven while cooking dinner to watching The Godfather while waiting for my food to digest enough so as to have dessert! Yes, I do realize that I'm a bit out of the ordinary. :) Ok my wonderful gents (and Lynn), I'm going to cut a piece of pumpkin pie and generously apply the whipped cream (it's fat-free but tastes just like the full-fat version)! I'll share a little secret with you since the wine is still having it's effect on me: sometimes, (crap, I can't lie to you) ok, a lot of the time, I go to the fridge and just eat the whipped ceam right out of the can! Now with that said, I can no longer fight the craving for pie so I am going to have a piece! I will be with you tomorrow as long as my meds take effect and I begin to feel better, as I really just need to see you all. Again, Happy Thanksgiving! Why is it that the holidays are never a good time for me?
I'm so sorry that I have been incommunicado as of late. I have been fighting what I thought was a bad cold. After a trip to the doctor on Friday, it turns out that it is in fact a sinus infection! Ah the joy of feeling like you have an elephant sitting on your head. I'm on some potent meds to clear it up and I was expecting to join you this evening but then I recieved the kind of phone call that no one wants to receive. Please forgive me if I ramble here as to be honest, reality has yet to sink in. So instead of sitting down and dealing with this news properly, I am doing everything in my power to avoid the emotional outpouring that is soon to follow this message to you. The call I received was to let me know that my old friend Ang (whom many of you know) has passed away. Getting that kind of news dressed in a bustier and stockings hardly felt appropriate so I think I am going to cancel my plans of joining you this evening. In fact, I think I am just going to put the phone on silent, "hunker down" and take the night to myself to process the news. Funny, but not funny ha-ha how the holidays and I just don't seem to have the best track record. I have a feeling that I am going to want your company tomorrow evening after I finish teaching so I may join you just to say hello and wish you all a happy holiday. Friendly faces are sometimes the best medicine in times like these. I must admit that this event has made me realize exactly how short life is and how important it is to make the most of the time we have. Sorry, as I'm truly not trying to philosophize here, just rambling in a desperate attempt at avoidance. Since I'm not even sure as to how to bring this message to a close, I will just say goodnight and that I love you very much. Mady

The reason I 'm not with you...
isn't because I'm out on the town living it up or that I wouldn't prefer to spend my evenings with you. Rather, it is because I have a cold. Yes, that is why I wasn't with you last night nor this evening. I think I've been overtraining between teaching at the gym, my own weight training and yoga teacher training and it finally all caught up with me. So, instead of playing the game with you tonight I am playing a different kind of game... How long can I go without sneezing or coughing! Instead of wearing one of my favorite Victoria's Secret outfits I'm bundled up in my Ducks hoodie and sweats! Tonight was supposed to be wine/port night but instead it has become hot tea, dayquil and throat lozenges. What's wrong with this picture? :) If I'm feeling better when I wake, then I am going to try to be with you tomorrow evening but if not, then you know that the only place I'll be other than with you is either on my couch or my bed. Oh, and I am flicking through the HBO channels trying to find something suitable to watch on tv and for some reason I decided to stop and watch "Busty Cops 2." Has anyone seen this before? Don't get me wrong here as I enjoy my porn but oh my.... This was, well, it was not only badly written but badly performed. Yet here I am watching it just the same. I'm going to blame the cold medicine on this one! :) For those who haven't watched it yet, it is about 3 bi-sexual female undercover cops who masquerade as dancers in order to catch a rather unattractive, drug-addicted bad guy. From the looks of things they catch their bad guy by going around and getting all kinds of freaky with each other and any other woman or man around. They coerce men into telling them what they want to know by showing them their "assets." They even get out of tipping the bartender by flashing him! Does that even work in real life? Hmmm. note to self.. Mady, in case you forget your wallet and need to pay for a glass of wine do as the Busty Cops did and flash some breast! hee-hee.. Oh wow, I think the cold medicine just kicked in! Time for your Mady to stumble upstairs to bed. Then again, this couch is pretty comfortable and I wouldn't have to drag myself upstairs.... I think I'll flip a cold medicine box. Face up and I stay on the couch, direction side up and I attempt the trek to my bed. Ready, set, here we go..... Ahhhh, face up. I stay right here! Sitting in the dark at the moment and it's not because I'm feeling morose...
The power is out at the moment so I am sitting here typing away on my phone. I had gotten home just a short while before and had my pork tenderloin in the oven when it went dark in the house. After checking that all of my neighbors were also without power, I came back in and lit candles. Now the house smells great and I have mood lighting and I'm alone! To my gentleman with whom plans were made to spend "alone" time together this evening, I apologize profusely and will still try to join you should the power come back soon. I hear sirens approaching so it may have been due to an accident of some sort. I will try to keep you posted but need to keep as much battery in my phone as possible. I hope to be seeing you as well as more than 2 feet in front of me very shortly. Love, Mady

Taking tonight (Sunday) off.
Good evening my gentlemen! I am going to take the night off tonight as I have a long list of things to get taken care of including addressing baby shower invitations for my sister. Being the auntie-to-be I am unofficially in charge of such things. I asked my sister to give me the address list for all of the people I was to send an invitation to and boy should you see how long it is! I think I am going to get writers cramp addressing all of them! :) I had a wonderful time playing the game with you last night and it's a good thing the Ducks won last night because the Raiders sure blew it today! I will be with you on Tuesday night though there is a chance that I may join you a little later than scheduled as I have yoga teacher training. Have a great night and I will see you Tuesday. Halloween Game Night!

Problems logging in tonight.
Is it just me or have there been issues for others this tonight as well? It has taken me 45 minutes just to get to the page I access to sign in to you but it won't let me join you. :( Hmmm. I'm going to attempt to shut down the computer and reboot and see if that doesn't solve it. If it doesn't then I'll try join you tomorrow evening after I get home from teaching my circuit class. :) How else am I going to get to wear my costumes?? :) Cross your fingers, your toes, and..... It's 100 degrees outside and I'm nearly naked! Oh, and QUACK!!!
The title says it all. It is HOT outside! And, my Ducks won!!! Woohoo! They beat Cal! :) Hello my gentlemen! I wanted to take a moment to say hello as well as to let you know that I have a special "pole" appointment scheduled for the evening. I am so very sorry that we were not able to play the game last night but I will make it up to you this next Friday night. I have been fighting a flu bug so I ended up resting last night. It looks as though I have been disconnected from the room but am still here with my gentlemen and we are still online so he and I have decided to keep going with our time together as we are without the need for me to log out and log back in again. If he and I get disconnected again then I will log back in. Should we keep going like we are this evening then I will see you tomorrow evening. Oh, and I want to give you time to prepare in advance as I am planning game night next Friday evening! :) I am lookng for a new trivial pursuit game and if anyone has seen a new version of Fact or Crap please let me know. Mady had a little "incident"
Well, I can tell you that I am sitting here and alternating heat and ice on my neck right now as I had a little incident at yoga. This is twice now that I have been injured doing yoga! My yoga class is a power yoga which is nothing like the gentle yoga that you may hear about and I was reminded of that this evening. I figured that I had the time to go to yoga before I joined you this evening and before we celebrated My Felon's Birthday. Everything was going great and I was quite flexible so I decided to attmept a new, rather difficult yoga pose. In the pose I put both my legs behind my head and then I roll back onto my back and try to get my head to the ground whilst keeping my legs behind my head. It was going great until I tried to lay on my back! I felt a pull in my neck. Yes, this story is going where you think it is. I pulled something in my neck! Now here I am alternating heat and ice on my poor neck and giggling at what a goober I am. My Dear Felon, I am so very sorry. We have had to postpone twice due to me but I am quite determined that we will celebrate your bday. I promise I won't try to lay back if I put my legs behind my head again! :) Ok, its time for me to pop some advil and stay very, very still for a bit. I don't think its anything too serious but since its my neck I don't think I'll be able to swing around a pole very easily this evening. I will keep you updated as to how its going. Right now I have my head cocked to one side and I think I must be quite a sight to see! I think that I will log in Thursday night to make up for not being with you tonight depending on how I feel. I'm actaully still here but its just not registering that I am!!
Hello my gentlemen! Its Sunday night and I am actually still logged in and online iwth my gentleman byt for some reason the site is showing me as being offline. Rather strange but it has happened a few times before. So, I just wanted to let you know that I didn't leave you. :) I'm here and we are chatting and he was kind enough to tell me to be sure that I let you know what was happening. :) SO, instead of taking the risk of logging off and attmepting to log back in unsuccessfully, he and I are going to contuinue our "date" as we are. Houston, we have a problem...
Here I sit on my phone posting this blog because I am without power! I was about 5 minutes away from joininh you when my entire neighborhood lost power! I called PG&E and they are estimating 3 hours before its turned back on! To my gentleman that I was to spend time with this evening, I am soooooo very sorry. I realize I have no control over the electric company power grid, but I still feel terrible. I had much to show you this evening. So, if you still want to reschedule after this mishap please let me know and I promise to make it up to you by any means possible. :) If for any reason the power comes back on before 8 pm I will be joining you all this evening and if it doesn't then I am going to give up and go get something to eat. Good afternoon! I am writing to update you as to my schedule for this week. I am joining you this evening (Monday) rather than tomorrow evening and I will be joining you around 8pm Pacific time on Friday evening. Saturday and Sunday will be as scheduled. :) I do have some "alone" time scheduled with a gentleman this evening when I first join you as well as all evening on Saturday. of getting in my pants IF you fly to Monreale (Taormina region) in Sicily and bring me back this exact cannoli from the same pasticceria that I purchased it from. In fact, it might be a good idea to bring back a few of them... :) I think the poor pasticceria owner didn't know what to do with himself when my girlfriends and I took the first bite of our cannoli. Imagine four women standing there making what can only be best decribed as orgasmic noises while eating them. We even dubbed it "heaven in a shell." I still dream of that cannoli.......

A little naughty in Assisi....
Ok, so I had a few glasses of wine and maybe a Sambucca and a grappa or two the evening that I took this picture. My hotel room was very small and my bathroom even smaller yet but I did manage to take a little pic from in there. :) The hotel was a converted monastery so the rooms were tiny at best. However, when I opened up the shuttered doors that led to my balcony I was left speechless. My balcony was three times the size of my hotel room and it overlooked Assisi (only four of us were lucky enough to get the rooms with the big balconies). I was so excited that an involuntary squeal escaped from my mouth and I started jumping up and down with excitement! I've also attached a pic of the view from my hotel room. Mind you, it was taken with my phone so the quality is lacking but it is still breathtaking... Bueno Notte my gentlemen. Love, Your wishing she were back there right now, Mady
